(WVLT) – Pedal for Alzheimer’s, Ltd. announces the homecoming of University of Tennessee Lady Vol basketball Hall of Famer Michelle Marciniak who joins the organization’s fifth anniversary charity cycling event: Ride Tennessee. Marciniak, who was a part of the inaugural charity cycling event, Pedal for Pat, returns to ride in memory of her beloved Lady Vol basketball coach Pat Summitt who publicly battled Alzheimer’s.

A local retirement community is the recipient of a $1,000 community grant from Pedal for Alzheimer’s, Ltd. The grant, which was awarded to Creekside Healthy Living Community, part of Methodist Retirement Communities, will provide funds for art supplies to benefit the 18 memory care residents.
