2017 PEDAL FOR PAT
The inaugural event, Pedal for Pat 2017, was successfully completed by a team of 8 “Summitt Cyclists” who pedaled a grueling 100 miles per day for 11 consecutive days from October 17-27, through Tennessee, Georgia and Florida in order to reach their 1,098 mile goal concluding in Key Largo, Florida. The event originally was planned for 12 days; however, due to the impact from Hurricane Irma, the cyclists rallied to finish the mileage in just 11 days.
The team issued $100,000 to the Pat Summitt Foundation to help further the research, awareness, and education of Alzheimer’s.
